After having just taken a walk with my black labrador, I thought it would be a good idea for the first post in our puppy training classes series would be about teaching your dog to heel.
Teaching this command is so important both for safety and for control. In this video, the trainer starts with the puppy off-leash, making it a game. She later adds the leash and shows how to continue to encourage keeping the dog close.
